Artist's Comments

Here is the final version ( i hope) of the portrait of Don from Mad Mad house.

I used color pencils for this piece. And I have spent aprox 15 hours on this and have learned to have a bit of patients with color pencil.

I tried to make a border thingy to present this piece better, so let me know what you think.

I am still willing to do some touch ups, so let me know what yous think.

Many thanks to the people who have critted this piece!! Very much appreciated.

I did use a photo reference for this from the sci-fi website.

Wow. I wish I could use colored pencils like that. 15 hours! *faints*

thanx so much!! :D yeah, 15 hours was a long time... I am starting to decide what i want to do for my next one! too bad i can't find this one magazine... i may have left it at home. :(

LOL, it is not too hard... just have to stop yourself when you are gettitng bored of doing it or else ya may wreck the pic. ;)

color pencil can be very hard to use but i think you've done a very nice job with it the shadows and textures are nice...the only thing i see as a problem are the hands...kinda look webbed...but nice work
